Splitting Firewood Effortlessly With One Finger O7

It is not all fun and games at the off grid homestead. Joe helped me get a nice wood pile ready for winter. He helped me feed wood to me for cutting with the chain saw and then we split the logs together on my new DIY log splitter.

I wanted to try out my new log splitter so Joe and I went into the woods and got a bunch of logs cut with the chain saw. Joe helped me by pushing the log along for me to cut. We had a rolling log under the edge of a tree. In this way I could cut a log off and then Joe would push the tree. The log under the tree would roll, allowing the tree to move forward and extend out over the edge of the log. This allowed me to cut another log off of the tree.

We then carried all of the larger logs over to the log splitter. The smaller ones went right on the wood pile I have on a wooden pallet. This keeps my wood supply off the ground during the wet winter months that are coming.

I fired up the log splitter and Joe helped me get a whole mess of fire wood split up with ease.

It is fun using this machine to split my fire wood.

Thanks again Joe from Wilderness Rocks.
