Started Paneling Second Wall Of My Tiny House Living Room S18

On Wednesday I started the paneling on my second wall of the living room in my tiny house on wheels. I am making my own paneling using scrap lumber and a table saw.

I finished the radiant barrier first and then cut some more furring strips. I have a 3/4 inch air space behind the radiant barrier which allows it to keep summer heat outside of the house. Then another 3/4 inch air space in front of the radiant barrier to keep the winter heat inside the tiny home.

Then I put on some rosin paper which will help hide any gaps in the homemade wood paneling I am putting on. Without the rosin paper you would see the radiant foil behind the paneling through any gaps in the wood.

Next comes the homemade paneling using aged scrap lumber which I originally thought was garbage. When it is cut and opened up, the wood inside is clean and beautiful.

I hope to make all my own paneling for this tiny home on wheels.
