Tiny Home Deals And A Losing Battle With A Tarp

Monday I spent some time working deals for stuff to use in my tiny home and trying to sell things around here to get cash to build my home with.

I got this bathroom sink with a real brass faucet from a neighbor. It has brass handles, faucet and drain. This is real, solid brass. The sink was originally mounted on all natural wood, which is a bit messed up though. I may replace the wood.

The lacquer on the brass is messed up in places which is probably why the original owner replace it. I studied online about how to remove the old lacquer and polish the brass up like new. I will use this sink in my bathroom.

Brass is a natural antibacterial when it is not coated with junk aka lacquer. It was originally used on door knobs due to its antibacterial properties. These days they cover it up with a clear coat so it shines nice and pretty but that covers up its natural properties too.

A bathroom sink with natural antibacterial properties is perfect. I love it.

Later in the evening I tried to get the tarp over the tiny home set up as a tent to keep moisture off the floor of my tiny house but I failed badly.

The tarp is cheap and the grommets came out when I tried to put pressure on them to get the tarp up in the air. I had to give up or risk destroying the tarp.

For now it will remain like it is and at least protect the floor of my tiny house on wheels.
