Wilderness Rocks Demonstrates Hennessey Hammock Shelter O8

This is a shelter, chair, tent, hammock all in one. It is very light weight and packs up small and conveniently in your backpack. Joe from Wilderness Rocks demonstrates the pack he has carried literally thousands of miles with him.

This is a Hennessey Hammock. It is surprisingly fast and easy to set up. It keeps the rain and bugs off of you. Plus you are off the ground which means not waking up with snakes or other creepy crawlies in bed with you.

All you need are two trees to suspend this hammock in the air for a comfortable night off the ground. It can also be used as a sort of one man tent on the ground if needed.

The entire hammock weighs just about 2 pounds, depending on which version you get. Some are a bit lighter and some heavier.

I am very impressed with this hammock and am thinking about getting one. Before Joe demonstrated this hammock, I always thought it was not the best for long term hiking.

In this hammock you lay a bit sideways and then you are flat in the hammock and not banana shaped.

Thanks Joe for this demonstration.
