Cutting Firewood And Showing John The Progress On My Tiny Home S20

Thursday I spent the morning hours cutting firewood for my wood stove heat this winter. In the afternoon John arrived and I showed him the progress in the tiny house since he was gone.

The wood that I had cut in spring is still wet so now I am a bit worried about the winter. I am cutting down dead standing wood in the forest now. I am cutting it into logs and then splitting it as well. Then laying the wood out on pallets in a single row so it can dry out fast. Dead standing wood has a low moisture content so it should dry out in time for next month.

I have the pallets lined up in the sunniest spot of the meadow so the wood dries fast.

When John arrived I wanted to surprise him so I turned on the camera and asked him what he thought about my idea to make my own paneling with scrap lumber and a table saw. He did not think it would turn out at all.

When I showed him inside, he was very much surprised at the outcome of the tiny house paneling.
