Preparing Wood Pallets To Build A Simple A Frame Chicken Tractor

I had planned to build a new chicken tractor for my little Bantams after Easter and the day was perfect for it. The sun was shining and the temperature was about 70 degrees F.

I pulled out some lawn mower pallets that I got from the small engine shop. These will make the perfect frame for my tiny chicken house on wheels. I am building a simple A frame chicken tractor using only free pallet wood.

Two pallets form the A frame and the extra boards I pull off the boards will be used for the bottom part of the frame.

I am removing half of the boards on top of the pallet because they are not needed for structural support and they will only add weight to the finished chicken tractor. I want to be able to move it alone when I need to.

I stripped down and prepared two matching pallets to build my A frame tiny chicken house on wheels with.

The building of the A frame chicken house will be following shortly.
