Test Burning My New Tiny House Wood Stove S29

Saturday night John and I finally got to try out my new tiny house wood stove. We lit the first fire in the tiny house on wheels.

It was an exciting moment for the two of us. This is a major milestone in the tiny house construction. The first fire in the wood stove. This little cottage on wheels has come a long way in a short time. We have both shed lots of sweat and blood building this little house on wheels.

It was a full day Saturday putting in this wood stove. We worked long after dark with head lamps on because it was supposed to rain in the night and we wanted to finish this project and close up the gaping hole in the roof.

We were also determined to have a fire in the tiny house before calling it a night.

The fire lit right up with a couple handfuls of kindling wood. The surprising thing is that the fire kept burning on just the kindling for a very long time.

John and I were both beaming with happiness as we watched the warm glow of the fire dancing in the wood stove of my tiny home. You can see the fire from all angles of the living room, which is what I wanted.

Eventually, about an hour later, I closed the air intakes to put out the fire. It slowly smoldered out.

It was a very good day.

I still have work to do getting the wood stove safe and the walls protected from the heat from the stove. But the biggest part of the job is done.
