Making Maple Syrup On My Improvised Free Evaporator Pt II

This is part two of my maple harvesting video. I got a roaring fire in my improvised maple syrup evaporator and a good boil in all three containers of maple sap.

I spent the day keeping the fire going and pouring more maple sap into the pots as they sap boiled off. You just keep on adding more sap as the level gets down in the pot. But be careful not to fill it too high or you will have a boil over like I did.

At the end of the day you can take the concentrated maple sap indoors where you can finish boiling it down under controlled temperature until you have maple syrup. But that is a video for another day.
