Building My Own Tiny House Kitchen Cabinets N8

I spent the day building my tiny house kitchen cabinets. The first one took a bit longer but after that I had a plan and the next ones went nicely. These cabinets feel rugged and solid.

I like strong cabinets. I have seen homes where the cabinets fell off the wall or fell apart. This is not a pretty sight. I am making my kitchen solid and secure. The cabinets are being screwed right into the wall studs of my tiny home.

I decided to use plywood on both the top and bottom of my homemade kitchen cabinets for strength. This ties the framing in nicely and gives me two shelves. There is room on top of the cabinets for spices and small items.

The bottom frame of the cabinet acts as a shelf.

I framed in a middle shelf in each cabinet as well but still have to cut the plywood for them. I will do this later.

I am working long after dark, which is only at 4 pm these days. I use my little harbor freight generator to run a LED utility light so I can see what I am doing. Otherwise the work days would be severely shortened.
