Cutting Firewood With A Miter Saw O18
I have a lot of branches that are too small to cut with the chain saw and too large to cut with the reciprocating saw. I am using a miter saw to cut them quickly and with ease.
I have a folding work bench that I got on the road side for free which I am using as a stand for my miter saw. This is the perfect height for working with no stress on my back.
I first go out into my brush pile and sort out the thicker branches which are still big enough to burn in the wood stove. Then I use my reciprocating saw to cut off the twigs and smaller stuff.
Next I pile them up and carry them over to the miter saw for cutting into fire wood for my wood burning stove in the tiny house on wheels.
Using the miter saw is very fast and easy. The entire pile of branches was finished in minutes.
I got this idea actually from Goliath Man from Ireland. Thanks for the video.
Cutting your own fire wood to heat your home takes a lot of work and time but it is very much worth it in the end when you can heat the house for free all winter.
My tiny home is going to be quite cozy this winter. So far I have been using only these smaller sized branches in the wood stove. A hand full of kindling burns for about three hours in the wood stove.
