Cutting Firewood And Working On My Tiny Home O15

I spent the morning cutting firewood for my tiny house heating this winter. In the afternoon I worked inside the tiny home a bit more.

I am worried about the cold winter coming up so I am cutting fire wood on the colder mornings like this day. I hope to heat my tiny house on wheels entirely with firewood if possible. This means that I have a lot of cutting to do in order to make it happen.

After cutting trees with the chain saw I load up the logs into my lawn mower wagon and take them over to the log splitter I restored a while ago.

I split the logs and then rotate them out with the logs on a drying rack I have out in the wind and sun. It only takes a couple weeks for the logs to fully dry out for me and then I stack them on the pile for burning this winter.

In the afternoon I went inside the tiny house and worked on the kitchen counter top. I made my own wood filler using glue and saw dust from the same wood that I used to make the counter top. Actually the dust out of the sander that I used to sand the counter tops is what I used. This mixed with wood glue makes a perfect wood filler for the gaps and cracks in my wood counter top.
