Updates And Activities At The Off Grid Project ™

Talking about The Off Grid Project ™ activities and projects as we move into the new year. I have lots of exciting projects and plans for the off grid solar homestead this coming year. I will also be doing more diverse types of videos like I used to.

I will have my daily videos showing what happened throughout the day but I will get back into putting up daily project videos. Each video will have its own theme. When I started out making videos I was performing various experiments and projects. I will be doing that again and have something for everyone.

Soon the wind turbines will go back up in the air. I will be setting up the old RV as an electronics workshop. There I can finally make a Bedini motor and show you how it works. I will be making a larger Bedini motor as well to restore batteries faster.

I spent some time studying the Moringa tree book which I got in the mail the other day. This is a very amazing plant. It is being looked at as the cure for World hunger. It is packed full of vitamins, nutrients and even protein. It helps fight tons of ailments and diseases. It seems almost too good to be true. Another nice thing is that it grows so fast that we can grow it in northern climates as an annual. It grows about 10 feet or more in a season. If you can keep the roots from freezing it will come back next year as well.

The entire plant is edible from the roots to the leaves and everything in between. The leaves can be a valuable survival food. This is certainly going to be part of my garden from now on.

I am still trying to figure out what is wrong with the golf cart batteries. They are losing more power every night although I have been running the HF generator and charging the golf cart batteries every time I am using power in the tiny house on wheels.

I have strung up some of the forklift battery cells in a series to give me a 12 volt battery bank. This will be a separate video but I wanted to show you what I was doing with my day. This is what I mentioned above where I will have my daily videos and then specific topic related videos. This time I did a full video on how I drilled and tapped the battery terminals and strung them up together in series so I can charge them with my DC generator.

I hope to use these forklift batteries to power my off grid solar tiny house.
