Using Reclaimed Lumber For Homemade Tiny Home Paneling

I am using the homemade paneling I made with recycled 2x4s which I got for free. Today I am finishing the paneling in the living room of my tiny house on wheels.

I have not been able to work with the old lumber I have outside due to a lot of rain. I do not have enough space to store it out of the weather so I wait for a couple good, dry days to dry off the wood. Then I can make more paneling for my tiny home.

The other day I had a nice, warm, sunny day and cut a bunch of paneling using my table saw and some reclaimed lumber. Now I can put it up on the walls of my tiny house.

The first wall went very quickly because it was all the same measurements. I just cut a bunch of boards and used my brad nailer to fasten them to the wall.

My tiny house is fully off the grid so I need to use a generator to power the air compressor which powers the brad nailer. I could do this by hand but it would take a lot longer and probably split the boards. Plus it would leave hammer marks in the wood. The brads are 18 gauge and very tiny. They are hardly visible at all and do not damage the wood.

The wall next to the stairway took a bit longer because I had to measure and cut each and every board separately.

When I was halfway done I had to go outside and cut some more paneling on the table saw so I could finish the job.

Next came the little closet under the stairs. I covered the side of the closet in paneling as well.

Then I put on some angled trim which runs parallel with the stairs to give it a nice finished look.

The paneling looks beautiful in my tiny house on wheels.
