Finished Tiny House Roof & Installed Rain Gutters

This is a huge moment for the tiny house on wheels! I finished the roof and the rain gutters on the tiny house this weekend.

Some friends from church came over to help out with the roof. I did not want to do this job alone in case I fell or got hurt out here in the woods. Nobody could hear me yell if something happened.

And I am happy that I had help on this day because the job took the entire day as it was.

We had to cut some pieces of the roofing and trim in order to get them into place.

We put on the last couple feet of roofing metal. We also put on the fascia boards and the metal trim over that.

When the roofing sheets were done then we put on the last of the metal trim on the sides of the roof as well.

Next came the rain gutters.

I used standard PVC rain gutters and down spout for my tiny house on wheels.

For now I simply ran the rain gutter down spout to channel the water away from the tiny house. I plan to set up my rain water collection tanks behind the house soon, inside the insulated room which I will build for this purpose.

It feels good to have the roof done and the rain gutters installed. This means that I will soon have running water in my tiny house on wheels.

The off grid homestead is coming along well this fall.

Thanks for watching.
