Snowy Day At The Off Grid Homestead

Not a lot happened on this day other than me sweeping off the solar panels every half hour and warming up inside the tiny house on wheels in between.

I kept my eye on the solar battery bank the whole day to see how much power I was drawing in. Snow will increase the overall solar power production by amplifying the amount of light that reaches the solar panels.

It was dark and cloudy though due to all the snow falling to the solar power output was nothing to get excited about. But it was more than I see on a normal rainy day anyway.

When the sun comes back out my solar panel power production will be greatly improved due to all the snow on the ground. This is one benefit of snow in winter.
