Installing Tiny House Loft Furring Strips & OSB Sheathing

This is the second part of my tiny house loft work the other day. I installed more radiant foil, put up the furring strips over top of the radiant foil and put some OSB up to close off the walls.

First I started around the corner with the radiant foil. I had planned to continue all around the upstairs bedroom loft with the radiant foil and then follow up with OSB sheathing.

But I realized that with all the stuff I have stored up there it would be easier to just finish one wall and move the stuff over to that wall for storage. Then I can finish the rest of the bedroom loft area.

I love the look of the radiant foil with the furring strips on it. Sort of looks cook and space agey.

I had to go outside and prepare a piece of OSB. I got this wood for free from the local small engine shop. They get lawn mowers in huge wooden crates. They put out the wood for anyone who wants to take it.

I built most of my kitchen with this stuff and I will probably get the bedroom and study loft areas finished with it as well. The bathroom will be finished with this free pallet wood too.

The only problem with this wood is that I have to prepare it by pulling off the 1x boards and remove all the staples and nails before I can use it.

I cut a board to fit the entire end wall in one piece. It fit in nicely. It has a nice finished look now. I cant wait to finish the rest of the loft but my friend Tim was on his way over for a few days.
