Moving Forward & Changes To My Channel & Homestead

I have had some time to think about things since my YouTube business training last week and I will be making some changes to the way I run my business.

Yes this is a business. It is my full time job and this is a business. I am in the business of entertaining you, the viewer. My first goal is to help people through my videos. But if you are not entertained, then I am not successful.

YouTube is like TV but better. You can watch TV and change the channel if you like, just like on YT. There are ads on TV and on YT. But with TV you cannot interact like on YT. This makes YouTube better in a way.

I provide a free service to you, the viewer. I am going to put my donate button back on my channel. If anyone wants to contribute and feel like they are a part of the channel and the work I do, then let them. From now on I will not feel bad about the generosity of others and I will not let my trolls run my life.

I will be selling merchandise as well soon. I found a company who helps channels sell T-Shirts, coffee mugs and more. My viewers have long told me that they wanted these. Now it is time to move forward and make it happen.

I will be open for ideas on T-Shirt graphics and text. Anyone can submit an idea and I will post it on The Off Grid Project website for everyone to see and vote on. The most popular ones will be sent into production for sale. If you want your name under your artwork then please let me know and I will list it there on the website.

I am also going to do another Booster campaign to raise funds to bring Melanie home. The Fiance Visa paperwork is going to cost a few thousand dollars and I will also need to buy her new clothing and supplies when she arrives.

Yes, some say you should have money to provide for a wife before bringing her home. Yes I can do that. But the Fiance Visa paperwork is above and beyond what most families have to deal with. I am asking for help in this alone.

All funds raised through selling T-Shirts will be used for Melanie. Any left over funds after bringing her home will be used to provide for her immediate needs when she arrives.

After Melanie is living at the off grid homestead she will be helping me with YouTube and this will increase my business. Melanie will balance out my life, the work at the homestead and also boost my channel.

I am drawing plans for the tiny house on wheels and the porch outside. I have to plan it all out before I begin construction. Having a wife on the way changes everything. I originally planned for the gravity feed water system upstairs in the bedroom. Now I have to remove it to make space for a larger full sized bed. I will be building a fully insulated shed outside that will hold the water tanks and battery banks.

I will have a normal pressurized water system in the tiny house with hot running water on demand.

The porch will be next on the list of things to build. I hope to have the porch finished before the snow falls.

During rainy days I will work inside the tiny house and finish the bedroom. I will be building shelves and closets for our clothes and books.

In a day or two I will announce the booster campaign and list the links.
