Installing Shelving Under Tiny House Kitchen Counter

Finally I had a sunny day with no snow or rain so I started building the shelves for under my tiny house kitchen counter.

I am using mostly recycled wood or stuff I had left over from last falls tiny house construction projects. So this is not top notch wood. It is warped and a bit hard to work with. But I am getting it.

I first built a simple frame to hold a shelf under the far end of the kitchen counter. This I then screwed right into the tiny house cabinet under the counter.

Then a piece of OSB for the shelf and I finally had a place to put my food. This really felt good.

My tiny house has been a construction zone for months now and it was getting to be a mess. I wanted a place to store my food because I moved it out of the RV for the winter. There are two reasons for this. First the RV is not heated. Second the mice are horrible out here and find ways into the RV no matter what I do.

The tiny house on wheels is - so far - mouse proof. So I am keeping my food in the tiny house.

Next I designed a removable shelf to slide under the kitchen sink area. This can be slid out of the way if I need to work on the plumbing. This uses all of the space under my kitchen counter to its fullest extent.

Is sure looks good and ads a bit more of a complete look to my tiny home now. I plan to build doors for the cabinets later using free pallet wood.
