Pyongyang, February 17 (KCNA) -- Youth and students in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK, held an evening gala at Kim Il Sung Square on February 16 with their profound respect for Chairman Kim Jong Il to conspicuously decorate the night of the holiday.

The evening gala began amid the melody of the song "A Dear Name" resounding in the sky above the square where national flags, Party flags and flags of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League were fluttering.

The gala venue was overflowing deep gratitude to the Chairman who was born as the son of Mt Paektu and the guerrillas and laid an everlasting foundation for the happiness of people and the country's prosperity, weathering out the grim tempest of revolution.

The melodies of songs "Our Comrade Kim Jong Un" and "Our Leader Loved by People" resounded in the nocturnal sky of February, showing the revolutionary optimism of the young vanguards who are glorifying the honor of the reliable advancing group and detached force of the Party under the leadership of the respected fatherly Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The youth and students showed with merry dances the unanimous will of the five million young vanguards to work admirable feats in the drive for hastening the overall prosperity in Korean-style socialist construction.

They burst into the cheers as the evening gala was coming to a climax.

Among the audience were working people in the city and members of the diplomatic corps here. 0
