Working On Tiny House Siding With Tim From YouTube

Tim Carey from YouTube came over for the weekend and we worked a bit on the tiny house and the chicken coop. Tim also did some knife throwing demonstrations for my TR Tech Tactical channel, so please have a look at that later.

We first pulled off the old siding that I had put up as an experiment. I had changed my mind on how I wanted to put up the siding.

I am going to redo the entire thing using tar paper in between each row of shingles to better protect the wood.

We put up the metal trim under the bottom edge of the tiny house to keep out carpenter ants. Carpenter ants are very bad out here and I need to protect my home from them. The metal trim closes off any access to the house under the tar paper making a tight seal.

Next came some pallet wood which gives the first row of shingles their angle.

We started to put on more shingles but the house and wood were all too wet from 5 straight days of rain. I decided to wait another couple days for the wood to dry out.

Later Tim and I removed the remnants of my wind turbine tower and got it out of the chicken coop. Then we fixed the netting to help keep the chickens in better.

Thanks Tim for helping this weekend. You can find his channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/douglasfi2re/videos
