It was a fine sunny day and the solar panels were pumping out the power. The charge controller was showing a nearly charged status on the forklift battery already in the morning.

Crows have been stealing my eggs. When I put them out in a bucket to wash and do not watch out the crows will come right behind me and steal them. I cant believe the crow was able to take an egg and fly with it in its mouth. It went into a tree and ate it there as I watched.

The raccoon came back and attacked one of my Bantam hens. He had her right through the tiny 1 inch mesh of the new chicken wire. The hens sleep up against the chicken wire which is not good. The raccoon will eat them right there in pieces while they are yet alive.

I have live traps set up to try and catch the raccoon but he wanted the fresh meat of the nice warm chicken instead.

I had a nice pot of garden greens. Some of my root vegetables are still growing from last year and I am eating the greens off them. It tastes so good to have fresh spring greens. I may just plant some for next year and leave them in the ground all winter so that in the early spring next year I can have the same fresh greens.

I got some packages in the mail.

From the Prairies sent me the belt to go with the tool belt attachments she sent me already. Thank you.

I got a selfie stick with Bluetooth adapter and built in battery. This allows me to take photos and shoot video with the selfie stick remotely. This is an extendable adapter which allows you to walk around and record as you go. I will be testing this out in the coming days.

Viair, a company specializing in off road air compressors, sent me one of their fine air compressors to try out here at the off grid homestead. They figure they might look into the off grid market to sell some of their products and wanted me to try this out. I will be doing a full review soon.
