Heavy Duty Pallet Shelving & More Fire Wood

I spent the day working in the new storage tent out at the off grid homestead. I built some pallet shelving to hold my gear out there. I used 4 pallets and some framing to build a rugged storage shelving unit.

I was on the phone with an old friend while I worked so I am sorry that I did not record much at all. I used lag bolts instead of screws for extra strength. But this meant that I had to drill out each hole first and I kept hitting screws in the old pallets. This made progress slow but I got it done eventually.

I built the entire thing laying on its side. I added one pallet at a time until I got to the top shelf. Then I lifted the entire unit upright and then pushed it into place.

Four pallets and framing is not light but I managed to get it into place eventually. I have space for another pallet wood shelf next to it.

I then spent the evening splitting more fire wood. I hope to have a lot more fire wood this year than I had in previous years. I will keep picking at it a bit more each day.
