Awesome Recycling Shop & The Zero Waste Fair & Recycling Center

While I was at the Zero Waste Day fair I was taken on a tour of the recycling shop. This is a shop full of interesting things that were saved from being dumped. Here they give the items a second chance at life.

You can find just about everything in this shop. It is jam packed with all kinds of things from furniture, to household items, to clothing, to construction materials and more.

Laura and Gia gave me a tour of the place. They showed me some of the various and interesting items they have for sale. And the prices are awesome!

This is the place to go if you are moving into a new home or remodeling. Students can get their furniture and other necessities here and then return them when done for the year rather than leaving them in the room or out on the streets.

Laura is trying to bring awareness to the community about recycling and repurposing materials.

I will certainly have to come back and browse this store when I have time. You need a few hours to see it all.

You can find the New Paltz recycling center and learn more about their ideas and initiatives here: http://www.newpaltzreuse.org
