Fighting Back The Jungle At The Off Grid Homestead

After my return to the off grid homestead I found that the grass and weeds have taken over. It has been raining nearly every day out here recently and that is good for the grass. Bad for me. The ticks love the taller grass and wait for me to pass by. I pick up at least one tick every day out here now.

So I decided one of the first things on the schedule is to clean up the area where I am working to keep the ticks down.

I got my Ryobi weed whacker out and started cutting it all down. This little tool does the job well.

I am always in and out of the RV each day so I had to clear out that area too. And I made a path to the front of the water tank where I work a lot.

Later I have to get the lawn mower running again and mow the entire meadow.

I also want to get the wind turbine tower back up but I have to cut down the grass before i go out there to work due to all the ticks out there.
