Thanksgiving Dinner On The Off Grid Tiny House Wood Stove

Thanksgiving Day I made a nice dinner in a Dutch oven on top of my tiny house wood stove. I used some deer meat that I had just recently killed myself.

I put some rice and water in the dutch oven first. Then 4 medium potatoes on top of that. Next came carrots, onion and garlic.

I put some seasoning salt on next to cover the vegetables.

Then I put on the deer meat backstrap. This is supposed to be the best part of the deer. I put more seasoning salt on top of the meat and then covered the whole thing to stew slowly on the tiny house wood stove.

I also cut a small butternut squash that I grew in my own garden and put it in a cast iron pan with a lid. This went on the wood stove to cook as well.

In a few hours I had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner which I enjoyed in my off grid tiny home.

I am thankful that this year will be the last Thanksgiving that I ever have to spend alone. Melanie will soon be here with me and we will enjoy the Holidays together in the future.
