Airhead Composting Toilet Cleaning & Reinstallation In My Tiny House

I had to take out my Airhead composting toilet to clean it andfor some maintenance because my cats knocked the air vent off the wall. I am happy to have a toilet that I can take outside for cleaning.

The cats had been playing in my tiny house bathroom and knocked the fan off the wall. This fan pulls fresh air throught the composting toilet and pushes it outside. This keeps out odors and also pulls out the excess moisture from the solids in the toilet.

The oroginal screws that came with the toilet were too short to hold properly in the OSB that I have on the bathroom walls. I will soon have pallet wood paneling so they will work fine.

For now i put the fan back on the wall using longer screws which go through the OSB fully. Now the fan will hold well.

I also shortened the fan hose so it fits better.

I used some PVC pipe inside the walls to keep insects from getting iside the insulation and keep the moist air from the toilet from entering the insulation.

I mounted a dryer vent cover outside my tiny house over the vent exhaust to keep out the weather and critters. I will use some screen there to ensure nothing gets through.

Outside I fully washed the Airhead composting toilet and left it to dry a while. It is so convenient to be able to remove my toilet as needed for cleaning or maintenance. Not everyone can do that. The Airhead composting toilet can be fully removed with ease by loosening 4 thumb screws and taking the entire toilet outside.
