Improving My Off Grid Tiny House Solar Power Output

I ordered some new cables for my solar panels. Now I can wire up one set of solar panels in parallel for the PWM solar charge controller in my off grid tiny house.

I have anxiously waited for these wires to arrive so I can increase the amount of solar power coming into my tiny house. Since I put in the new PWM solar charge controller I actually had less solar power because it cannot handle the higher voltages of a series connected set of solar panels.

In order to get more power through the PWM solar charge controller the panels have to be wired in parallel, not series.

I want to set up my solar power system properly with the right cables and wires this time. Nothing rigged up. Nothing temporary.

I now own this land. I own my tiny house on wheels. I can now make things permanent. Finally.

For now I only connected two solar panels in parallel because I fear the wires are too small for the higher current of more panels. I have to buy more wire on payday in order to connect more solar panels.

But for now I was hitting about 200 watts of solar power on a partly sunny day. I have 470 watts of solar panels on the PWM solar charge controller.

I have 600 watts of solar panels on the MPPT solar charge controller. I will be putting another three solar panels on that charge controller in parallel with the first set, after the next payday when I can get wires for them as well.

This will give me a total of 1800 watts entering my off grid tiny home when I have all the solar panels connected.

With time I am improving my tiny house solar power. I hope to have great improvements before winter.
