Busy Busy Day At The Off Grid Homestead

I got a lot of work done the other day at the off grid homestead. I explain my October solar power output. I had visited a friend who gave me an old cedar closet which I took apart for the wood. And much more.

The sun is lower in the trees in October so I do not get as much direct sunlight on my solar panels during this month. Even worse though is that the leaves are still on the trees so I get only about 2 - 3 hours of sunlight on each set of solar panels connected to my tiny house on wheels.

My situation is not your situation so do not despair about getting solar power yourself. Most people have their solar panels on their house roof and they get full sunlight all day long. I am in the middle of the woods, in a meadow so I get reduced sunlight on my solar panels. But I have enough to run my laptop and LED lights as needed.

I got a cedar cabinet which I took apart to use the wood later. I plan to sand the cedar and then use it on my tiny house closet. I am happy that I did not already finish the closet sides and top now. The cedar will be perfect for the tiny home closets. Cedar is well known for repelling insects and mice.

Later I worked some more in the storage tent. I hope to get the tent moved so I can begin construction on the insulated room for my water supply and battery banks.

Thanks for watching.
