Installing Off Grid Shed Rain Gutters & New DuraVent Wood Stove Pipes

I went shopping for materials and was able to put together my off grid shed rain gutter system and the new DuraVent stainless steel stove pipes on my tiny house wood stove.

It was raining all day so I did not record much with my camera. I am sorry for that. But I did get a lot of work done anyway.

I installed the off grid battery shed rain gutters. Then I connected the tiny house rain gutters to the shed rain gutters. The tiny house rain water falls into the solar battery shed rain gutters. Then the water pours out the down spout from the solar battery shed and into a bucket for now.

I have to finish closing up the wall and putting on tar paper on the shed before I put the first flush rain water diverter on the back wall of the shed.

So for now the water goes into a 50 gallon plastic barrel.

I hope to finish the back wall of the battery shed soon and then finish connecting the rain water system to the 275 gallon IBC tote inside the shed.

Inside the tiny house on wheels I took apart the wood stove pipes which had been leaking horribly on me. I then assembled the new DuraVent stove pipes. These are triple wall insulated stainless steel stove pipes. They cost $100 each!! Ouch.

With some work I was able to get the stove pipes installed into my tiny house and connected to the wood stove. I used a bit of 2x4 for now to hold the entire thing up. I have to get some metal to hold it from falling on me. These pipes are heavy.

Normally they are zero clearance pipes and can be connected right to a wall in a house. But I had designed my tiny home with more clearance to the stove pipe. So the normal clamps will not work for me. I have to come up with a way to secure these massive stove pipes before I can use the tiny house wood stove again.

But for now I am a huge step forward and have zero clearance stove pipes. These look nice too and they are a lifetime investment.
