It has been raining near steady for days not and I am collecting rain water for my off grid tiny house on wheels.

Since it started raining and I do not have the back of the off grid battery shed walls finished yet, I just ran the down spout of my tiny house rain water collection system into a 50 gallon drum.

This filled up in a day so I then moved another 40 gallon tank over next to the full drum and let it fill up in the rain.

I dont really want to fill up my main 275 gallon IBC tote yet until I have the shed walls finished. I bought the insulation already but I do not yet have the paneling to finish the walls in the shed. I will not put in the insulation until after I get the paneling. Otherwise the mice will tear it up overnight. Mice love pink fiberglass insulation.

I am hoping to finish the shed and then put the large rain water tank on blocks and a pallet on top of them. This will keep the tank off the colder ground in winter and prevent freezing on extremely cold nights.

If I fill the tote then I cannot insulate and put paneling in the shed without emptying the 275 gallon water tank first.

But it rains and rains and rains...
