Really Cleaning Up The Homestead & Some Packages

I was determined to clean up the homestead before my wedding so I worked harder than ever and got it done. Melanie and I later opened a couple packages.

I had a goal to get the homestead cleaned up. I wanted the property nice looking before the wedding so that Melanie can settle in here with no stress.

It has taken me a very long time but I worked hard all day yesterday and got it done. We will have to gather up some random trash that the wind blows around and still have to rake up the leaves but the worst of the clean up is finished. There are only a few items that I cannot handle alone.

Melanie was with friends all day baking the wedding cake so I was alone at the homestead. She has no idea how it looks here yet. She will not even see the property until after the wedding now.

I had wanted to finish this clean up for a long time. But it is so much work and I had to dedicate a lot of time to the job. This meant not much camera work though because that just takes too much time.

I plowed through and got all the junk out of the place finally.

The area in front of the RV is cleared out. All the tires are put away. All the wood scraps are piled neatly for burning in the wood stove later. All the machines and parts are put away where they belong. Tools and equipment are all put away now.

There is nothing in front of the tiny house now but the solar panels. The area in front of the garden is cleaned up.

I need a hand to move some larger items but otherwise it feels good to look around at a clean yard.

Later I picked up Melanie and we opened a couple boxes that people wanted us to see right away.

One was from a viewer and contained some beautiful jewelry. Melanie was in love with them. The butterfly is absolutely perfect and Melanie will wear it for the wedding. If you do not know already, I call her my butterfly.

An old family friend made a beautiful afghan for us to use on cold winter nights together. It is very details and full of colors. Thank you very much!!!!

The card brings back memories. I still remember when I was about 5 riding in their truck camper.
