Working On My New Tiny House Loft

Melanie helped me get the frame to the new loft up in place. Then I used the framing nailer to tack it into its final resting place. This was easier than I had thought although some nails stuck out and gave use some trouble at first.

I next put on the floor board to see how it will look upstairs. I am liking it already.

Next I built a little frame to close off the area behind the stairs. This gives a bit more strength to the entire upstairs floor by tying it off to the other loft. This helps take away the shakiness a lot.

I cut the flooring and put it in place. I have to head into town for screws to tack the floor down though. I did not think about that when planning the construction of the tiny house loft addition.

Melanie and I are happy. We are both liking it very much so far. Somehow the downstairs of the off grid tiny home looks larger with the loft closed in. I am quite surprised at this but we both agree this is so.
