Sorting Fire Wood & Fighting Damaging Winds

Now you get to see how bad the wind is blowing as I cut some fire wood for my tiny house on wheels. I have to constantly grab the camera to prevent it from blowing over when the strong winds gust through.

I have spent the better part of two days and nights trying to keep my tents from flying away. The problem is the wind chill factor and the cold temperatures prevent me from being out very long at one time.

I burnt all the wood that I had cut for my tiny house on wheels so I am sorting the wood piles that I do have. I will not suffer for fire wood because I still have that huge barn wood pile out there waiting for me to burn for heat as needed. I burn the broken and damaged boards when I need them.

I also have huge piles of fire wood. Some is seasoned and some is not. I have to simply sort through and split the logs that are ready for use now.

I am putting the cured lumber aside in one pile. I will run my generator and table saw to process this wood in a hurry. It will burn nicely. And since most of the wood is cured and very well aged, it will not be dirty to burn in my tiny house wood stove.

I am heating my off grid tiny house entirely with the wood stove. I do not use much wood at all so I am not worried about making it through the winter.

The wind comes in waves blasting through the trees. As it passes by me, often it even rips through at ground level and tears things up down here on the homestead.
