I was looking for a fence post puller to remove the T posts and wooden fence posts I have out here on the homestead. I used all reclaimed lumber I had laying around and built a nearly free fence post puller that works.

I have a lot of oak here from wood pallets. I went to TSC to get a bolt to fit the job. This was the only thing I purchased. The rest was free materials I had laying around.

I drilled a hole through a piece of a pallet. I kept part of the original framing in place to hold the pieces together.

Then I took another long piece of wood. This was a 3x3 pine board which I cut to fit as a lever. I drilled through this too.

Next came the bolt and washers to hold the lever in place.

A flat board went on the bottom to act as a foot to hold it all upright.

Next I drilled a hole in the end of the lever and pushed a bolt with an eye through it.

Using a piece of chain from my engine hoist I am now able to easily remove fence posts alone out here on the off grid homestead.

Later I found a bolt that goes through the holes in the fence posts. This makes it very easy to attach the fence post puller to the posts and slide them right out of the ground with ease.
