Putting A Bench In My Off Grid Tiny House Porch

This is part two of the last video. I put a bench inside my tiny house porch so you can sit and take your shoes off in comfort before entering the house.

I have been building a porch on the front of my off grid tiny house on wheels to hold shoes, jackets and garden tools. This porch will also stop the wind and rain from blasting into my tiny home.

The entire tiny house porch was made using free recycled materials. Most of the wood is from a barn that was demolished and the wood was dropped off here at my property. The roofing material was a cover sheet for the tiny house roofing so it was extra as well.

I already had the screws on hand.

The total cost of my tiny house porch was $3.29 plus tax for the screen door striker which I had to buy myself.

The bench is just over 41 inches long by 11 inches deep and sits about 14.5 inches high. Just perfect for putting on or removing shoes.

I fastened it securely to the porch framing with scrap 2x4 lumber also from the barn wood pile.

I am feeling very happy about my new porch. All I need now are some shelves inside and the siding on it.
