Coffee Chat & Overview Of Work @ The Off Grid Homestead

We have not had a coffee chat in a while so here we are. Here is an overview of the work from the past week and what is going on right now.

We did not do any video yesterday because we have some special guests from YouTube over for a visit. We may show them today depending on how things go and what they decide.

Yesterday we visited and had a relaxing day with a tour of the 56 acre property of The Off Grid Project.

Last week was mostly about cutting trees to clear a space for the new chicken run. We plan to have a larger chicken area where the birds can free range most of the year and save us on food costs. The birds will also eat ticks which can harm us.

This week the work on clearing trees for the chicken run will continue until we get the area cleared out.

Then we will build a chicken fence around the area and move the chicken coops inside.

This will take some time yet though due to all the trees that still need to be cut.

It sure looks good now at the off grid homestead with the front area by the truck camper cleaned up. The three of us worked very hard Saturday to clean up around the driveway and the truck camper.

Now when someone drives up, all they see is Melanie's flower beds and the garden. It sure looks nice now.
