Building A Pallet Fire Wood Shed & Gardening

Chris and I spent some time clearing out some of the fire wood piles and then built a pallet fire wood shed to contain it all neatly. Later we continued work on the garden.

We spent over half of the day working on the fire wood pile. We heat the off grid tiny house on wheels with fire wood in winter to save money. With 56 acres of land, fire wood is free and plentiful.

I had about 6 fire wood piles out next to the tiny home. I had sorted wood based on type and how cured it was.

Chris and I moved and condensed the wood piles to make room for the trailer to move around back in that area so we could later move the chicken coops.

Then we used the trailer to haul pallets over to our building site and started to make a fire wood shed entirely out of pallets.

Later Melanie was planting some vegetables while Chris and I put up an old gazebo frame. We want to have a semi enclosed walk way through the center of the garden. This will have trellises that vine plants can grow up and onto in summer. You will be able to walk through the covered walkway and pick vegetables and grapes as you go.

We managed to get the frame up and in place like we had imagined for now and then it was time to shut down for the night.
