Mega Garage Sale Finds & Still Cleaning The Homestead

We hit some garage sales and Melanie made out pretty well with things for her tiny house kitchen. I got an old table with leaves which I will rebuild using oak flooring slats.

Melanie got a whole mess of things for her kitchen. She got some curtain material. Some serving platters. Some silver plate serving sets. And much more.

I got an old table with a ruined top which I hope to give a new life. The table came with two leaf extensions. I wanted to build an extension table for the off grid tiny house on wheels. Here is my chance.

I will use the oak flooring to make a table top. Then I will sand it flat and treat it with shellac. On top I will finish it with real wax. We can always fix this as needed with more wax treatments.

I plan to make leaf extensions for the table with the same oak flooring panels. This will allow us to serve up to 8 guests in the off grid tiny home.

Later we worked some more on the off grid homestead. We hope to finish cleaning out the meadow within a couple weeks and have the planting done.
