Running Wires In Off Grid Tiny House & More

I have been wiring up the AC lines in the tiny house on wheels. Melanie has been making the tiny house her home. Chris works with the animals and is cutting fire wood every day recently.

I ran the electrical wire from the off grid battery shed, through the tiny house wall and into the kitchen where I had put an electrical outlet for Melanie to use there.

The next day I ran the wires upstairs into the tiny house loft. I left a loop in the bedroom for a future electrical outlet and then ran the wires along the entire length of the tiny house loft.

The wires ended up in the loft study where I ran two outlet boxes and connected the wires. I am using white metal boxes that already look nice so that I do not have to cover them later.

I plan to run conduit over the exposed AC wires after payday.

After finishing the connections it was time to head back out into the off grid solar battery shed to connect the power inverter to the off grid tiny house AC wiring.

I connected a plug end into the exposed end of the AC wire that I had run there. When I had it all closed up neatly I plugged it into the power inverter and turned on the power.

Next I went upstairs into the tiny house loft to try out the power. I used a little AC desk lamp with a tiny bulb in it to see if the power was working correctly.

I had light! The AC wiring in the off grid tiny house on wheels is working fine.

Now with the lower power consumption of the inverter that Philip from YT Solar Power Electricity and Electronics, I can leave the power inverter running full time without draining my solar battery bank.

I was not able to leave my security system on overnight before due to the higher power draw of the larger power inverter. Now I am able to leave the power on with no problem.

Melanie has been working inside the off grid tiny house on wheels to make it more like home for her. She is really happy here. She cooks some amazing meals too and loves to cook.

Chris has been out by the animals. He is still preparing fire wood for winter and cleaning up the area by the workshop. He is actually raking up the leaves as he clears an area. These leaves go on the compost or the garden.

Chris loves the animals and spends a lot of time out with them cleaning the stalls daily.

We got a package in the mail which we are both quite excited about. We got a hand crank butter churn and a book on how to make your own dairy products.

I promptly read the book that night.
