Chris, Melanie and I got the new homemade solar panel bracket up in the air together and bolted onto the side of the off grid battery storage shed.

Next I spent a considerable amount of time cutting and drilling holes to put lag bolts right through the legs of the solar panel frame into the brackets we had mounted onto the shed. The brackets are lag bolted into the wall studs of the shed. Then the legs of the solar panel mounts are lag bolted into the brackets.

This gives us a very secure and strong mount for the solar panels.

Chris helped me get the solar panels up into the air and on the new adjustable mounts. This took a lot of time as well because I had to go up the ladder to get each solar panel onto its frame. Then I had to climb up on top of the roof of the off grid shed to mount each solar panel to its frame. I secured each panel one at a time in case of wind blowing, which would knock down and destroy a solar panel in a hurry.

Eventually we got all three solar panels up on their frames.

We actually took our lawn chairs and sat back to enjoy our work for a while. It really felt good to have such success in this project.
