Some Fun ~ Mulching Garden ~ Something New

On the weekend we went out for some fun in the morning. Later we went to the recycling center shopping for the off grid tiny house. And then we started mulching the garden pathways.

In the morning we went to High Falls, NY for some swimming. It was quite hot outside so it was the perfect day for a swim. The area is quite beautiful and has a lot of history.

Later we stopped at the recycling center in New Paltz, NY where I did a video series last summer during their Zero Waste Fair. We got some nice things for the off grid tiny house on wheels including the perfect folding table.

This table folds flat against the wall when not in use and opens up halfway or completely to serve up to 8 guests. When it is folded flat against the wall it only takes about 5 inches of space in the tiny home. This is perfect for us and exactly what I was looking for. The idea is so simple I wish I had thought of such a thing.

We immediately removed the junk table we had been temporarily using and set up the new folding tiny house table.

Chris and I went out to haul a load of mulch to line the garden pathways. We loaded the truck with fine new pine and cedar mulch.

Back on the homestead Chris put down cardboard we got from engine crates and I loaded the mulch into a wheel barrow and took it down the path to stop weed growth. This not only prevents weeds but it looks nice too.
