Wiring Up Tiny House AC Power & Awesome Gifts Arrived

I have been working on the AC power in the off grid tiny house on wheels. Melanie has been busy making pillow cases out of old dress shirts. We got a whole bunch of awesome gifts in the mail.

Now that I can afford to leave the AC power inverter on all night I am wiring up the off grid tiny house with AC electrical outlets. Up to this time we have only used a single extension cord to get power to any part of the tiny house where we needed it. We moved the power cord around as needed.

Now it is time to wire up the tiny house on wheels with real AC power outlets.

I have some nice looking metal outlet boxes that are colored white so I do not need to hide them. All I need to do is later cover up the electrical wires with conduit.

While I was working on the AC wiring, Melanie was busy repurposing some old dress shirts of mine. These had worn or stained collars and Melanie cut them to fit our sofa pillows. She sewed everything by hand. She fit them so that the buttons of the shirt were then used to insert the pillow and then button back up. The pillow cases look pretty cool.

She also made a third pillow case entirely out of scrap cloth and it turned out very nice.

We got a mess of packages in the mail. One is a huge trolling motor for our little boat. We cant wait to get out on the pond again and do some more fishing with our boat and new motor. This is so cool.

Melanie got a lot of gifts today too. She got a straw hat and a gardening set for working out in the garden.

She got a step stool so that she can reach things in the tiny house. And she was quite excited to get a suction cup mount sink strainer to keep her dish washing tools in.

I got my blueberry rakes which I had ordered for Melanie and myself. We hope to gather blueberries this summer when the berries are ripe in a week or two. With the blueberry rakes we can harvest tons of blueberries in short time.
