Fish Tawa Fry Recipe

Fish tawa fry is a popular Indian dish that involves shallow frying marinated fish fillets on a tawa (a flat iron griddle). Here's a simple recipe for making fish tawa fry:

Ingredients:

500 grams of fish fillets (any firm white fish like tilapia, cod, or snapper will work)
1 tablespoon of ginger paste
1 tablespoon of garlic paste
1 teaspoon of red chili powder
1 teaspoon of coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon of garam masala powder
Salt to taste
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
2 tablespoons of butter
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:

Rinse the fish fillets and pat them dry with paper towels. Cut them into desired size pieces and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, combine ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, salt, and lemon juice. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.

Add the fish pieces to the marinade and coat them well with the mixture. Let the fish marinate for 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator.

Heat a tawa or a large flat pan over medium-high heat. Add vegetable oil and butter to the tawa and let it melt and heat up.

Add the marinated fish pieces to the hot tawa and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side or until the fish is golden brown and cooked through.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges.

Enjoy your delicious fish tawa fry with rice, naan, or any Indian bread of your choice.
