John Wick 4 Was All In For The Fight Between Donnie Yuen and Keanu Reeves

Donnie Yen, a Hong Kong action star, is most well-known for his role in the "Ip Man", a franchise that features an exaggerated Wing Chun grandmaster. These movies became popular enough to be viewed worldwide, transcending their Hong Kong roots. They featured brash fight scenes that went beyond traditional combat choreography in order to highlight the real-life Ip Man's role as a Chinese national hero. This caused some controversy.

The series featured Yen's Ip Man competing against everyone, from 'Iron Mike Tyson' to British stunt performer extraordinaire Scott Adkins. Scott Adkins played a US Marine Corps gunnery sergeant and was also seen in "Ip Man 4 : The Finale". Adkins and Yen will now appear together in "John Wick: Chapter 4", which is expected to take the Hong Kong action star further than "Ip Man." Mike Tyson may be one thing, but Baba Yaga was the man who murdered three men with a pencil in a bar. Keanu Reeves, the star of John Wick's next episode of violence, and Chad Stahelski, series director, have made a big deal about how they "took it up to another level" for John Wick's next orgy. This is a huge goal for a series which basically created its own action choreography thanks to Chad Stahelski's experience as a stunt performer, and Reeves' utterly unrelenting dedication to his combat and stunt work. The series looks to have taken things to the next level, with John Wick once again having to battle his way through seemingly endless waves of hired assassins and thugs. This is especially true for Wick's inevitable encounter with Donnie Yen’s Caine, a blind assassin sitting at the High Table council of crime lords. Try Something New Donnie Yen demonstrated his martial arts skills throughout his "Ip Man” run. He'll now be immersed in "John Wick's unique gun-fu style. John Woo, a legendary Hong Kong filmmaker, was the first to use this style. It involves gunfights interspersed in mixed martial arts. Chad Stahelski, 87Eleven Action Designer company, have taken gun-fu to a level that Woo could never have imagined.
Now it's Yen who will be taking on the "John Wick", super-charged gun-fu in a high-anticipated encounter with Keanu Reeves, the hitman. This was heavily teased in "John Wick: Chapter 4" trailer. Collider was told by Stahelski that the clash between two action movie giants forced him to step up once more.
"I can do the Donnie Yen three-legged kick. You want something more. You sit down, then you approach it from your character. There are many discussions with other guys about how Donnie does this. Keanu excels at this. Keanu is an amazing actor at this.
The "something" was basically giving Yen a sword, a pistol, and Reeves a samurai blade and a few handguns to make the big fight. Stahelski went on to explain that he added an AR-15 and a mirror room filled with Japanese artifacts, as well as "a few dogs." These elements should all come together to create a spectacular piece that draws from the gun-fu style and mixes it with the swords.
Long-Awaited Battle Donnie Yen's Caine is united with Bill Skarsgard's Marquis de Gramont in "John Wick: Chapter 4". Wick appears to be on the road to a full-on fight with the Marquis. But it's his fight against Yen that is most anticipated. Reeves, Yen and other stunt performers are among the best in martial arts and have the real-life skills and on-screen credentials to put on a memorable fight scene. Their clash was long anticipated, apparently by Chad Stahelski, who is a huge fan of both actors and still finds "John Wick: Chapter 4" exciting, even after having seen it 100 times. Stahelski was a huge fan of Yen and Reeves, so he was well-aware of their fight scenes. This gave him a unique insight into the possibilities for making this showdown special.
