The ‘Mosi’ joint naval drills involving the Russian, Chinese and South African navies entered their active phase in the Indian Ocean on Sunday.

The Russian Defense Ministry reported earlier that warships belonging to the three countries would conduct ‘joint artillery firing, tactical maneuvering’ at sea during this phase, and crews would ‘search and release a hijacked ship, assist a ship in distress, and repel enemy air attacks.’
