Minor Signs of the Day of Judgment 02

Amongst the minor signs is what the Prophet said:

وأن تَرَى الْحُفَاةَ العُرَاةَ الْعَالَةَ رِعَاءَ الشَّاءِ يَتَطَاوَلُوْنَ في البُنْيَانِ

This means: “And for you to see al-Hufaat (i.e., the barefoot people whom out of their poverty, do not wear any shoes) al-`uraat ( those who only have enough to cover the `awrah (unlawful nakedness) ) al-`aalata (those whose poverty is so extreme they are in need of help from others in order to fulfill their needs) ri`aa’ash-shaa’i (i.e., the shepherds who tend to the sheep – and the sheep shepherd was mentioned here to signify their poverty because those who own camels are wealthy people) yataTaawaloona fil-bunyaan (i.e., competing to build high/tall buildings).”
