In this video, we dive into Saudi Arabia's latest construction project, New Murabba. Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman is behind this development, which is set to be a downtown district in Riyadh. The massive project spans over seven square miles, making it about a third the size of Manhattan. However, the crown jewel of New Murabba is the Mukaab, a skyscraper that is a hollow cubed structure almost a quarter-mile long in each direction, which houses everything from tourist attractions, hotels, residential areas, and commercial spaces. The Mukaab is set to be the world's first immersive destination, providing visitors with a digital and virtual world augmented by holographics that can take them from living on Mars to the deep sea and beyond.

While sustainability is a consideration, the project's preposterously gigantic architecture doesn't scream eco-friendly. Moreover, the project's timeline of completion by 2030 is a remarkably short timeline for something of this scale. Nevertheless, we explore the possibilities of such a development, with the potential to push the boundaries of architecture and technology.
