I have a new book out, What We Put in Shadow. I'll put a link to the book on Amazon below. It is only about 73 pages in 6x9 format. I'm also going to be posting a deep dive into the scripture behind what I found for the Patreon members. If you're interested in those deep-dive videos, I'll also put a link to Patreon down below. I'm also posting daily Lent reflections on Substack, which also will have a link below.
If you do pick up a copy, the biggest non-monetary way to say THANK YOU to an independent author is with a review. We love those. Regardless, here is the back cover of the book, which also doubles as the short answer to the question asked in class. Thanks for your time.

35“Then watch out that the light in you is not darkness.
Luke 11:35 (NASB95)
That's the question from my Sunday school class that sent me digging into scripture. What you hold now is the answer I found. There is a short answer and a along answer to this question. If the short answer will do, here it is:
The lamp lit is Jesus, the light of the World. Anything in your life not focused 100% on Jesus blocks His light and casts a shadow where the adversary can hide, plot, and scheme.
That's the short answer. If that's all you need, go with God, walk in His love, and shine brightly to all you meet.
However, if you need more, turn this over, open the cover, and begin reading. I welcome you on this journey with me. God bless you, and Godspeed.
“No one, after lighting a lamp, puts it away in a cellar nor under a basket, but on the lampstand, so that those who enter may see the light.
Luke 11:33 (NASB95)
