Sermon of His Holiness Pope Jacobus I on the 1st Dominica in Lent...26 February 2023 AD...in today's Gospel the history of the 40 days of fasting of Christ Our Lord in desert is presented for the edification of the true Catholic soul, so that the patience of Our Lord is faithfully imitated by the true Catholics, so that the penitential time of Lent is prosperous for their soul and their sanctification...which infallible doctrine of the true Roman Catholic Church obviously excludes all apostates, heretics and infidels, as they are all non-Catholic enemies of God by their manifestly obstinate unbelief...and so there is no benefit to them nor merit in front of God for their otherwise penitential works, as there is no obedience in the essence of what they profess and believe, which is therefore heretical and thus it is not the truth in front of God, and so those only who gain true merit for their penances are solely those who are true and sincere Catholics, faithfully practicing the Catholic religion which is nothing else but Catholic Tradition, them all in the bosom of the genuine true Catholic Church, outside of which there is absolutely no salvation...
