Canada: Parliament Hill vigil in Ottawa marks anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine –February 24, 2023

The Ottawa branch of the Ukrainian Canadian Congress hosts a vigil on Parliament Hill to mark the one-year anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Russia launched its full-scale military operation on February 24, 2022. The vigil in Ottawa is one of several being held across the country to mark the sombre anniversary.
Marie-France Lalonde (Liberal MP and parliamentary secretary to the minister of immigration, refugees and citizenship), Erin O'Toole (Conservative MP for Durham), Yuliya Kovaliv (Ukraine’s ambassador to Canada), Darius Skusevicius (Lithuania's ambassador to Canada), Witold Dzielski (Poland's ambassador to Canada), and Merrilee Fullerton (MPP for Kanata–Carleton) are among the speakers at the vigil.
